watched sweeny todd with hj and pengru tdy. johnny depp is charming. haha. not as a close-to-deranged barber though. but just thought that he exuded a sort of charm. hmm. it's quite a sad plot. both women died at his hands. the woman he loved so much and the woman who loved him. how could he have not recognised his wife?? maybe his memory of her stayed at the time when he was thrown to jail, and she did look quite different. so this proves that there is no such thing as an intuition or special bond between lovers, as such that they were recognise each other even when they are 1km away. so it's rubbish when romance movies or novels describe the romantic reunion of long lost lovers after many years. or maybe he was too blinded by hatred and revenge, and too used to slicing people's throats that he didn't look twice before killing. ohh. and the blood really looked like tomato ketchup. seriously. but it was still pretty gross to see the blood spurting out of the gushing wounds of the poor innocent men. and they kept showing customer after customer, being sliced dead and being sent into the baking room (thereby todd would step on this lever at the bottom of the chair which will tilt the whole chair and send the bodies downstairs) to be cooked and minced to make meat pies. 有必要吗?! ending was quite drama. but i guess that's the style of musicals:). PHANTOM!!!! haha. phantom is really the besttttest=D.
