boo~

been some time since i bought a cd.. actually the last cd i bought was with yt as well.. and it was 孙燕姿's 《逆光》.. anw this is sodagreen 苏打绿's 《无与伦比的美丽》. it's really a cd worthed listening to:). their lyrics are bonuses as well.. we got it from a cdstore (which we only managed to find after going around in circles) in Shaw Leisure Gallery (in shaw tower). it's quite sad that normal cdstores don't sell their cds.. cos it's less mainstream music so there's a smaller market demand for it.. it's under a category called indies pop (whatever that means. HAHA. but i guess it means non mainstream pop).

okay, here's how wikipedia defined indies pop:

"Indie pop or "Pop indie" refers to the indie music based on the conventions of Pop music. Debido a que el Indie rock es considerado a veces como toda la música indie en general, el indie pop puede ser considerado como un subgénero del indie rock. Because the Indie rock is sometimes regarded as any indie music in general, the indie pop can be seen as a subgenus of indie rock. The pop music is seen as a catchy and simplistic, two attributes that indie music generally rejected. Thus, the indie pop is pop music that moves beyond the limits of conventional pop music.

here are some fooood photos~

went in search of changi airport's gelare cafe with yun last tuesday but it proved to be a futile search in t1. ><~ (we realised ltr that the gelare was in the transit of t1.. so there was no way we could hv gotten there unless we are flying oversea.. heh) so we finally found the closest gelare along east coast road..

the gelare waffles, topped with chocolate overload, rum&raisin and whipped cream. hot waffles + cold icecream~ mmMMmm.

after the dessert, we walked towards our lunch at the 328 katong laksa coffeeshop.. we walked quite a number of bus stops which were quite far apart, and unwilling followed behind a garbage truck which kept passing by us on the road and stopping in front of us =.=. first it was at some housing area, then it was at st patrick's school.. saw this icecream shop where you can mix and match your own flavours on our way.. it loooked like a deserted and forgotten shop but probably cos it was at quite a weird place and it wasn't opening hours yet.. also saw a pet grooming shop, and there were a few dogs (with their backs facing us) waiting in line in the cages.. ahhh. so cuteee. i hv decided that i no longer want a shihtzu. i want a ... ... maltease!! or.. red poodle (红贵宾).. damn cute. haha. okkay. i'm fickle-minded.

LAKSA. and lime juice.

i have huge lumps of bruises on both my calves. thanks to the nice and stable nus shuttle buses. (or maybe it's thanks to my excellent sense of balance) anw, the bus was crammed when i got on it through the back door last friday, on my way to sci fact from fas as7. when it stopped at the com centre, i had to get down to mk space for people alighting. when i got on again, there was still alot of human traffic in front and behind me with people alighting and boarding.. when people finally stopped alighting, i took a step down from the back seats to the steps and slipped=/. damn. i slid from the topmost step to the second step and scrapped my calves. i'm glad i'm a jeans girl, and not the skirts type of girl. so only ended up with bruises but not scraped skin and blood. haii. ohh. and all these happened when the bus was stationary. so maybe i hv maligned the bus. it's my own doing. BOOHOO.

another week of lectures gone. phonetics really make me drowsy=X. EL1101E as well. but phonetics is worse cos it's a 10am lecture and i would always hv a hearty breakfast before it.. and the lecturer speaks very loudly into his microphone sometimes so it's abit irritating when the lt is very small and the sound travels a short distance into your ears.. on the other hand, my general hist lecturer speaks very softly. he holds his microphone at least 10cm away from his mouth. and his voice tends to decrescendo. but he's better in my prose class (which comprises of only fifteen students), and more interesting and engaging. my american biology lecturer goes "maduel" when he says "module". and bio is kind of very cheem.

tutorials start in the coming weeeek. with EL tutorial tmr and bio lab on wed!! chinese tutorials start quite late.. earliest in week5 and it's week3 in the coming week. ahhh. looking fwd to lab lesson (cos i haven't stepped into a lab since sec4), but abit afraid as well cos i will be alone.. i must keep my eyes open and try to be as unblur as possible. i still remember relying alot on the two guys sitting on the same bench as me and eve during dhs chem lab days. and relying alot on judy during physics lab (fr the accurate lab experiment results). and relying quite a bit on my lab partner during bio lab (one of them was none other than ms wonghy). sheeesh. i sound like a leech. CANNOT. i must be independent. 아 자!

joined arts camp ocomm, in the admin pr.. wellls. still feeling abit lost after the first meeting seeing so many different faces and rah-rah people, bt nvm, come what may~ and i hv yun for company anw:). and i missed the recruitment period for emcc oops. nvm there's next sem..
