heya..

as can be seen frm my neglect, my blog's been pretty dead. haha. i seemed to hv lost the zest of blogging. wells.. blogging held different meanings fr me at different time periods. when i first started blogging, it was incessant updates abt the events of the day, the boring minute details. i hoped my style had shifted to a higher level of maturity, somehow, over the yrs. am still blogging abt the occurences of the day, but with more depth and reflection? maybe my brain is good at linking events and thoughts and feelings and stuff, such that A can suddenly lead up to B with no reasonable or linkable bridge. am so good at it that i can even link up seemingly mutually exclusive events or thoughts together.

mutually exclusive reminds me of probability, then math.

math.

what a weird topic to pick to blog about.

math would hv been the last thing ever i wld've wanted to discuss. but somehow. the dread, fear, hatred, despair, helpelessness i once felt for this subject had subsided. but it had really been a mortifying experience. it might hv seemed rather stupid to be so afraid of a lifeless thing
but it had been a terror. helpelessness was the worst kind of feeling. but i conquered that eventually. it was getting around the negative feelings i had twds it. it sounds easy and doable but it really wasn't. lack of confidence was another big factor.

thnks sh:).

but i nvr really conquered econs. this unhealthy dread and reluctance and acceptance developed and i let it get out of hand. what can i say?

i'm glad all these heart palpitations a non straight As (nor Bs) students get are now far frm me, at least fr the nxt few months.

can't stand my elder siblings sometimes.

but it's strange how family ties can dissolve unhappiness and dissatisfaction and anger.

somehow. you just cannot be at loggerheads fr too long a period.

mayn't be true fr all, but on a 1% significance level, null hypothesis of the above tested true with sufficient evidence between yc and her siblings.

there was this terrible news ytd. about a 46yr old woman falling to her death while cleaning the window grilles and window panes. her 17yr old son was in the toilet when he heard her screams but he was too late. he saw his own mother die.

my deepest and most utmost condolences to this unfortunate family.

if such a thing ever happened to me, i guess i will not be able to cope with the loss.

i'm not strong.

but of course. touchwood.(:

pssst. my mum seldom cleans the windows. she only tks down the curtains to wash during lunar new yrs and weddings (like my sisters').

ohhh. my initial intent was to blog about prom. honestly i hadn't had any real high hopes about prom night, it was just okay, this thing i had to get over and done with. loll. wasn't looking much fwd to it (more hyped up with the surprise party we were planning fr tt small bug). it was such a big hassle. all that mess about getting a prom dress, fussing about contact lenses, then pondering over accessories and bag, and heart wrenching about parting w money (altho it was my mum's i felt really guilty since this prom thing isn't a NECESSARY thing and i've spent ENOUGH) to do hair and mkup (which was supposed to be diy initially). wth. haha. i was glad when the night finally came. had been very happy with my hairstyle tho. haha. sher's salon's hairdresser was amazing. she managed to braid up part of my hair, tied this and that, stuffed 24 pins into my scalp and put my hair up really nicely, with lots of hairspray.

what about the prom itself, you may ask.

let's skip that section and talk about what we did outside fullerton hotel then.

the bunch of us got out of the fullterton hotel at arnd 8++++pm or 9+pm. took this weird shady pathway out of fullerton which looked suspiciously like some bckdoor exit. sher took a photo of it and i'll post it asap (that is aft she comes bck frm china, that is aft she gets arnd uploading her photos and burning into a cd-R, that is when we finally can gather tog again aft i come bck frm bangkok and ky frm tw). went to visit the 2 merlions and took pics with the larger one. enjoyed the sea breeze. went to tk a boat ride around clarke quay. it was worthed $12 and i felt like a first-time-in-sg-tourist fr spending this ridiculous sum. but thinking of the $83 that will fly to pocket sometime real soon i hope definitely, i felt reasonably cheered up. aft the ride walked about in our heels fr the gurls, looking fr a restaurant that will house the 6 hungry stricken us. we were a grand party of 6, in glam prom clothes, madeup faces and teased-into -perfection (yaya isnt tt what it's sposed to be) hair, heels, walking down the streets at night. apparently no restaurant was kind enough to open their friendly doors at us, so we turned to calling fr delivery at pizzahut. took the train, then headed bck to the M hotel whereby ky's aunt had booked us a hotel room. nice pizzahut guy had not cleaned his ears, so he misheard the M hotel as Ritz-Carlton. ltr on tricked the bug to go buy wine while we hurriedly put up the bdae decorations. we wanted to open the wine bottles of cos, but realised there were no bottle openers. it's okay. there's always room service. and err. i mistook the small hand towel fr the real towel which was thrice the size. so intelligent and alert.

what a series of unfortunate events.

so, why were you not inside fullerton hotel ballroom fr tjc's prom night'o6?

we just didn't have a table cos sc had a major screwup.

nevertheless, it was still an enjoyable afternoon-night-early morning, albeit the intial wth-why-don't-we-hv-a-table feelings. disappointment was not the right word to describe my feelings then. i'm just OH. so this is my prom night. what a joke. we agreed to conspire and not let our parents know of this joke.

thnkew ky's aunt fr being so nice to us.

but the stupid small bug did not drop a tear at the decorations and prezzies we painstakingly got and made fr her. the shoes. i swear. every stitch was precious.

so we rejected her a place on the comfortable big bed:).

overall i still had a great time. thnkew gurls and boys=).

it's interesting when a piece of greenery goes after an insect. and to think we've stitched a ladybug on a leaf.
